This one-day CPD workshop is for therapists with a minimum of a level 3 qualification in massage therapy, anatomy, physiology and pathology. During this day of exploring deep tissue massage (DTM) we will:
- Discuss the physiology of how this technique effects the bodies soft tissues
- Explore contra-indications, times for consideration and contra-actions
- Learn to work with the soft tissues increasing depth in a manner that is as pain free for the client as possible.
- Explore safe body use while working
This is very much a ‘hands on’ day with demonstrations and time given to practice deep tissue massage. By the end of the day, you should feel able to mindfully and safely apply deep tissue massage and able to appropriately integrate this technique into your treatment sessions.
