Fran Foster

Assistant tutor

Fran’s journey to massage was a long time in the making over many years. It was difficult to find the place that felt ‘right’ to her, to learn. After stumbling across the school at an open evening, the journey began and she has not looked back. It felt like home, a place where it was ok to ‘just be’. In 2015 she qualified in Holistic and Therapeutic Massage and continued on to complete the Holistic Sports and Remedial Diploma. She has also added other hands-on skills including; hot stones, warm bamboo and Indian Head Massage.

“It is such an amazing privilege to be able to share massage with others. Creating a safe place to facilitate and share a person’s growth and discovery of themselves with greater self-understanding is such a wonderful experience that can be both humbling and life affirming. Acceptance and nurturing are key, allowing the client to be free to feel and be who they are in any given moment.

Safe touch conveys so much more than words could ever do and can have a very profound affect. It has been such a fabulous experience and a joy to take my massage experience into my career as an ICU nurse, linking mind, body and spirit in ways that I’d only touched on before. It has been such a gift in so many ways filled with so many “Wow” moments.

Being an assistant tutor is an exciting role and allows me the opportunity to share my experience, knowledge, enthusiasm and love of massage with students at the start of their life changing massage journey. Through this shared experience, I am constantly learning, growing and developing. I am frequently amazed by the power of the massage experience.”
