This one-day CPD workshop is for therapists with a minimum of a level 3 qualification in massage therapy, anatomy, physiology and pathology. During this day of exploring soft tissue release (STR) we will:
- Discuss the physiology of how this technique effects the bodies soft tissues
- Explore contra-indications, times for consideration and contra-actions
- Learn to carry out passive and active STR techniques
- Explore safe body use while working
This is very much a ‘hands on’ day with demonstrations and time given to practice the techniques. By the end of the day, you should feel able to mindfully and safely apply STR and able to appropriately integrate this technique into your treatment sessions.
